Wine night at the CAFE. Located in the Neighborhood of Hometown Aurora. 1002 Four Seasons. We are bringing back our Pinterest Group with a twist. Bring your Wine and get ready to craft. You can bring your own craft for no charge or just come to chat. Or for just $5 you can make super cute Wine Charms from SHRINKY DINKS. They are awesome. Remember the 80's? Those thin plastic sheets that you colored and then baked in the oven and they shrank up and became jewelry or something? Well lets adult this craft. I'm always walking around with my wine glass and can never tell it apart from others. Let's make some cute and funny Wine Glass Charms. Super simple and I'll walk you through every step. For $5 you get to make 4. I only have enough Shrinky Dink Spots for 10 people. You must pre-pay to reserve a spot in the Shrinky Dink Class. PayPal link below. Again no need to pay if you are doing your own thing. Must be 21 to join our wine and craft class.

Join us as we talk with leaders in the community to solve problems and learn how to solve our issues. City of Aurora supports our neighborhood group by bring in city officials to answer our specific neighborhood concerns. Our community group does reach outside of Hometown, since the police and Alderman for the 3rd ward have partnered with us. We meet inside Hometown at the C.A.F.E. on 1002 four seasons blvd. Each meeting we will invite different speakers per the request and information we receive at the previous meetings. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions. If you would like to help organize please click get involved.
This Event is a RSVP and CONFIRMED CHARACTER ONLY. You must have a part to participate. This event is different than the neighborhood events it is not open to everyone, due to the limitations to the game size. Neighborhood Event money is NOT being used. It is suggested not to bring kids as clues will be layed around the room and children might move them. Only the people with parts will be allowed to guess "who done it". So it is important that if spouses come together that both request a part. We have spots for 20 people. Dinner will be served warm, revenge served cold.
January 14th will be our first meeting for City connections. We Are working to get a better understanding of what the city can do for our neighborhood. Since the Alderman, Crime reports and City is involved and not our Hometown HOA this meeting does invite people that live just outside of Hometown and people who rent or lease or just live here. Meeting will be Bi-monthly. We are looking for help to spread the word with making signs when meeting are coming up. We also have some co-lead positions available. Next meeting is March 10th and will focus on Animal control for now. Thank you for everyone's help to get this relationship with the city started. Please comment in the area you would like to contribute. JAN 10th 7pm at CAFE 1002 Four Seasons

Happy baking & see you on Friday! Official Aurora Trick-or-Treat hours are 4 pm to 7:30 pm on Saturday Oct. 31st. In other neighborhoods a porch light ON signals a house ready for trick or treaters. However, in our neighborhood we have solar lights that can not be turned off. If you leave to go out with your little ones simple tape Sorry No Candy and when you come back you can switch it for THIS HOUSE IS READY. Placing these signs on your door or over your doorbell is one way to help parents, kids and homeowners have a little less heart ache. As a parent of little ones it can be quite confusing. This won't stop every kid from ringing your door bell, but it will help. :) Happy Halloween.
